34 • January 2015 www.concreteproducts.com The Tilt-Up Concrete Association will honor longstanding Executive Direc- tor Ed Sauter at its Winter Tilt-Up Jubilee during next month's World of Concrete in Las Vegas. Sauter has entered part-time retirement effec- tive 2015, capping a 23-year tenure that began as a result of his 1992 World of Concrete participation. "Ed has been an extraordinary asset to this association for a very long time and we are excited to celebrate him and all that the TCA has become over the past two decades," says TCA Managing Director Mitch Bloom- quist. "His impact not only on the organization, but the industry as a whole, cannot be overstated." In 2001, Sauter began expanding the TCA staff, going into part- nership with Jim Baty, technical director. Bloomquist was brought on board in 2010 to strengthen the focus on membership benefits and association brand. The association's inaugural Winter Tilt-Up Jubilee was held in 2014, sponsored by the TCA Global Associates Council. The network- ing opportunity, 5–7 p.m. at the Las Vegas Hotel on World of Concrete day two, is free to TCA members who register by January 23; non- member and on-site registration is $40. Registration can be obtained at www.tilt-up.org/events.
