INNOVATIONS CONVEYOR COVERS Conveyor belt covers are fabricated for rigidity and strength from 22-gauge, corrugated steel, folded at the edges to nearly double the strength at a crucial stress point. Also, installation is not dependent on the location of an idler frame; instead, owners can attach the covers with self-tapping screws at any point along the length of a conveyor's structure. Available in standard sizes up to 60-in. wide, in lengths of 41.88-in. and in styles of full, half and three-quarter's coverage; custom designs are available upon request. Galvanized steel covers are standard; however, a series of other materials are available including lacquered colors, reinforced polyester, stainless steel, aluminum and fiberglass. — Superior Industries, www.superior-ind.com MACK TRUCKS LAUNCHES E7 ENGINE PROGRAM Mack Trucks' news Purebred Overhaul program offers extended warranty coverage of up to three years or 350,000 miles for E7 engine owners. The manufacturer has announced four solutions to restore power, reliability and operating efficiency: • Basic. Contains all Mack Genuine parts, filters and fluids needed for an in-frame engine overhaul. • Plus. Includes all the benefits of the Basic package and adds REMACK cylinder heads. • Premium. Includes all the benefits of the Plus package and adds Mack Genuine turbo and injector set and a special extended warranty at no cost. • REMACK Engine. All Mack overhaul kits come with a standard two-year, unlimited mile warranty, which includes parts and labor when installed by an authorized Mack dealer. The Purebred three-year, 350,000 mile extended coverage warranty is standard with Premium and REMACK Engine packages, and is available for purchase with the Basic and Plus packages when installed by an authorized Mack dealer. The Mack Purebred Overhaul program is part of Mack Pedigree Uptime Protection, an integrated package of aftermarket solutions. DIGITAL SOFT STARTER MST Digital Soft Starter's six-SCR, three-phase voltage control offers advanced protection for the motor, the soft starter and the load, ensuring trouble-free operation. Available from 7.5 hp to 1,000 hp at 208 to 575 Vac (volts alternating current), this product is suitable for mixers, conveyors, compressors, pumps and fans. A programmable torque control provides a more linear acceleration during start that reduces wear and tear, and during stop, virtually eliminates pump water hammer. This torque control function was developed and tested in collaboration with pump manufacturers to ensure the best possible stop without water hammer and pressure surges. The product also offers integrated advanced motor protection with current sensing, programmable signal relays, programmable analog output and a builtin keypad interface. MST Digital Soft models are available in open starter or an enclosed combination starter styles. The open starter has a smaller footprint that makes mounting easy, and is loaded with high-end features that improve performance and save energy. The enclosed combination starter combines over current protection and overload protection in a single package. — Baldor Electric Company, www.baldor.com PERFORMANCE GREASE New DayLube high-performance nano-ceramic grease maintains its original viscosity and adhesion even after 100,000 production strokes—significantly extending service intervals for all types of production equipment. Nano-ceramic particles act as sub-microscopic ball bearings to provide continuous lubrication to steel surfaces. DayLube operates in temperature ranges from 40°F to 800°F; and the nanoceramic particles remain intact to 2500°F. It survived the ASTME 4-ball weld test with no weld and minimal damage to all ball bearings. The product has high load-bearing properties, a low dielectric constant, does not contain metal or silicone and is resistant to steam, acids, and most chemical products. It is available in 16-oz. tubes and 16-oz. jars, as well as 1-gal. and 5-gal. —Dayton Progress, www.daytonprogress.com 44 | MARCH 2013 WWW.CONCRETEPRODUCTS.COM
