INNOVATIONS EQUIPMENT & PRODUCTS PORTABLE AIR COMPRESSORS Doosan Portable Power introduces three new models of dual pressure mid-range air com- pressors—P425/HP375WCU, HP450/ VHP400WCU, and P600/XP535WCU. The in- novative portable air compressors are built to withstand the most challenging applica- tions and perform efficiently in the harsh- est environments. They are ideal for use in a variety of applications, including general construction, abrasive blasting and pneu- matic tool applications, and complement any rental fleet. The two-in-one dual pressure units de- liver airflow ranging from 375 to 600 cfm and pressures ranging from 100 to 200 psi, depending on the model. With no increase in dimensional size from previous compres- sor models offered by Doosan Portable Power, users in a variety of markets will ap- preciate the small footprint. The compact size and a less running gear option allow the unit to be mounted on truck beds for increased flexibility. All three air compressors are powered by Cummins QSB Tier 4i-compliant engines. The Cummins engines—engineered with DOC emissions technology—offer compact, zero-maintenance design with no regener- ation cycles. This is especially important for rental companies where compressors are used by many customers. Among the newly redesigned components on these models is the first ever Mid-Port full gauge control panel. Standard on the panel is a tachometer display that allows the operator to see selected engine and airend temperatures and pressure as well as percentage of fan speed and engine load. The operator can set service intervals, lan- guages and display features, for an im- proved operator interface. For those who prefer analog gauges, these machines also feature oil pressure, engine coolant tem- perature, airend discharge temperature and fuel with analog gauges. A switch on the Mid-Port control panel al- lows the operator to easily change the pres- sure setting during compressor operation. The dual pressure feature can create either low airflow with high pressure—ideal for some applications—or low pressure and high flow; making the new compressor lineup highly efficient and versatile. Other new features include a clutch-driven cooling fan that is thermostatically con- trolled. The fan is much quieter and provides for increased operational fuel efficiency. Fur- thermore, service points are easily accessible WWW.CONCRETEPRODUCTS.COM SEPTEMBER 2012 | 51 without removing the canopy, along with simplified wiring and piping that also con- tributes to ease of servicing. Automatic shut- downs, relative to several critical operational parameters, help to avoid costly damage and subsequent repairs. — Doosan Portable Power, www.doosanportablepower.com
