The half-day session included presentations by National Ready Mixed Concrete Association's Gregg Lewis (shown here); locally known architect and ICF expert Leigh Overland, AIA; and, ICF manufacturer representatives. The latter included Build Block's Dennis Micoff, who spoke on "Value Engineering an ICF project"; Fox Blocks' Brian Medford, covering "An Introduction to ICF Design & Construction"; and, Quad-Lock Insulated Concrete Forms' Kevin Davis, examining "ICF in Multi-Story Construction." Nudura Insulated Concrete Forms' Northeast Regional Manager Tony Schmidt and Connecticut Distributor Sales Representative Bill Zarillo were also on hand to field inquiries. "We appreciate Connecticut AIA's interest in insulated con- crete form construction," notes CCPC Executive Director Dominic Di Cenzo, calling ICF methods "a popular solution in multi-family residential and low-rise commercial construction. This system pro- vides contractors and building owners durability, fire resistance and ease of construction. Our speakers gave very interesting and informative presentations to the attending architects. There were lots of great questions and a good 'give and take' between pre- senters and the audience."
