104 • July 2017 www.concreteproducts.com FINAL FORM WALL PANELS Officials of Daikin Industries and subsidiary Good- man Global Group, leaders in indoor heating and cooling systems and refrigerants, recently dedicated the $400 million-plus Daikin Texas Technology Park (DTTP). Located on a 500-acre site northwest of Houston, the facility is the largest to date built by the tilt-up concrete wall method—its 370 panels measuring more than 2 miles in length. With 4 million operational square feet available, the DTTP will support the design, engineering and assembly of a wide array of energy-efficient heating and cooling products for residential and commer- cial use, marketed under the Daikin, Goodman and Amana brands. It consolidates Texas and Tennessee production facilities—spanning research & devel- opment, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, marketing, distribution, and sales operations— under one roof, with payroll exceeding 4,000. "DTTP is the largest facility investment our company has made in its 90-year history, and we believe that investing in Texas and keeping jobs in the United States is mutually beneficial for both our company and the economy," said Good- man Global Takeshi Ebisu. "This new campus is our opportunity to reinforce our position as a global leader in HVAC manufacturing, innovation and ingenuity." "Daikin's investment is a testament to why Texas continues to be the best state for busi- ness—low taxes, reasonable regulations, affordable quality of life, and a high-skilled workforce," added Texas Governor Greg Abbott. "I will continue to promote policies that attract industry leaders like Daikin to Texas, leading to more jobs and opportu- nities for Texans."
