Page 86 of 95 February 2017 • 85 Equipped with the Sidewinder lever handle, the new CM Tornado 360° enables operators to be more productive with significantly less effort compared to conventional ratchet lever tools, product engi- neers contend. The Sidewinder lever handle features a 360-degree rotating lever and fold-out revolving handle. Working in unison, they allow the operator to realize the full potential of 360-degree rotation from a safe, ergonomic position. The design reduces repet- itive wrist action experienced with traditional lever hoists, letting the operator utilize a full range of motion to work up to 12 times faster. The Tornado's double-reduction gearing and high-quality bearings decrease pull force by up to 30 percent, minimizing oper- ator fatigue as compared to using conventional ratchet lever tools. The Tornado is available in ¾- and 1.5-ton capacities with standard lifts up to 20 feet. Separately, the manufacturer has developed the CM Weblok Assembly for synthetic sling lifting applications. Its double load pin retention system, using both traditional and bolt/lock nut reten- tion, prevents the load from backing out during extreme use. The assemblies are made of durable forged alloy steel, exhibiting greater ductility, better fatigue life and higher ductile strength than cast parts. The devices have a 5:1 design factor and are 100 percent proof tested. — Columbus McKinnon, 800/888-0985; INNOVATIONS EQUIPMENT & PRODUCTS Material handling devices Weblok Assembly CM Tornado
