INNOVATIONS EQUIPMENT & PRODUCTS CHEMICAL GROUTS, WATERSTOPS Grace Construction Products' De Neef's PURe line of The Terex Bandit B5 ready mix concrete plant boasts single load mobility. All plant components are effectively posi- tioned on a single chassis for transport, so the Bandit B5 features a narrow 8.5-ft. travel width. Requiring a concrete pad for operation, the Bandit B5 offers up to a 100-cu.-yd./hour concrete production rate. Rated batcher capacity for aggregate and cement is 5.3 cu. yd., and the ready mix plant features 1,022-cu.-ft. cement storage. Cement is gravity fed to the batcher. The standard two-bin aggregate storage unit is de- signed for easy charging with a front-end loader. With its 16.7- to 28.4-cu.-yd. aggregate storage capacity, the Bandit B5's bin can be divided for storing up to three different aggregates. The plant's 24-in.-wide transfer conveyor belt includes a 7.5-hp belt drive and is rated at 420-ton/hour throughput. — www.terex.com polyurethane grouts provide a safe and en- vironmentally friendly alternative for in- jectable grouting proj- ects and are all ANSI/NSF 61 certified for use in potable water applications. The new catalyst formulations are insensitive to freezing, with crystallization temperatures as low as -40°C. Both grout and catalyst are all phthalate-free formulations al- lowing for non-hazmat shipping and storage. The company has also introduced De Neef's INJECTO line of injectable hoses that replace traditional waterstops and help overcome many of the problems that occur in cold joints during normal concrete place- ment. Permeable hoses are attached to cold joints prior to the concrete pour, and then injected with polyurethane grout after the concrete has had a chance to cure for 28 days. This allows for the cracks created by the natural process of concrete shrinkage to fully develop before being sealed. In addition, defects that routinely occur during concrete pours are filled and sealed during the injection process. Moreover, the company has introduced De Neef's SWELLSEAL line of hydrophilic swelling waterstops that provide for an engineered solu- tion to seal concrete cold joints. — www.graceconstruction.com 74 | JULY 2012 WWW.CONCRETEPRODUCTS.COM
