96 • July 2019 www.concreteproducts.com INNOVATIONS EQUIPMENT & PRODUCTS Model 33 modular system is the newest addi- tion to the company's spreader beam program. Various sections, end or corner fittings, and lifter components net a wide range of beam configurations and capacities. Company's four-point system can be deployed in square or rectangular formats. In addition, both the two- and four-point system components are interchangeable with similar systems. Breakdown of the modular components makes the Model 33 easy to handle in the plant or on a job site. End fittings and beam sections are sold separately if a complete system is not required. Additional features include knock-down design, enabling easy beam transfer and transport; unique pivot- ing drop link; compliance with ASME B30.20, BTH-1 standards; and, potential combina- tions of one to five spreader sections for custom lengths. — Caldwell Group Inc., Rock- ford, Ill., 800/628-4263, 815/229-5667; www. caldwellinc.com Two-, four-point spreader beam Corner and beam section components allow users to configure the Model 33 as a two-point spreader beam, or four-point rectangular or square lifting device. The attendant-free FB2550 Driver Assist Terminal is designed to speed the vehi- cle-weighing process and reduce associated operating costs. It allows terminal interac- tion without leaving the vehicle, eliminating safety concerns and liability that can occur when drivers walk across scale platforms and traffic lanes. A color touch screen, large text and numeric keys, as well as simple-to-under - stand prompts facilitate and speed operation. The FB2550 also features built in Ethernet connectivity that easily interfaces scale transaction data with a company's existing computer network. The time reduction from the Driver Assist Terminal allows for an increase in scale throughput and overall efficiency. It also allows for 24-hour operation without addi- tional labor costs. Innovative terminals and systems improve weighing operations due to their simplicity and seamless acquisition and integration of weight data, company engi- neers contend. — Fairbanks Scales, Kansas City, Mo., 800/451-4107; www.fairbanks.com.
