She joined the Kemco team in 2013 as project engineer, was promoted to director of Engineering two years later, and exhibits what management notes is "consistent pro- cess improvement mentality and meticulous attention to detail." Muskegon, Mich. heavy-duty axle and truck suspension manufacturer SAF-Holland Group has acquired a 51 percent stake in automatic tire pressure management special- ist PressureGuard LLC, based in Nashville, Tenn. The deal adds a key foundational ele- ment in advanced digital SMART products for trailer applications, and includes an option for SAF-Holland to purchase remaining shares at a later date from Servitech Indus- tries Inc. Management team members will remain with PressureGuard in their current roles to support ongoing production and integration into the new parent company. The Pressu- reGuard system has proven to be a durable and robust solution to meet the growing market demand for reliable automatic tire inflation, and includes such unique features as stainless-steel braided hoses; specialized die cast aluminum hubcaps with protective fins; patent-pending axle vent assembly; and, patented high-pressure relief capabil- ities. The non-pressurized axle design can accommodate all industry standard variations in axle configurations, tire sizes, rim types, axle spindle types, hub lubrication options, pressure settings, power and electrical har- ness options. Personal protective equipment manufacturer Bullard announced that it's planning activ- ities throughout the year to celebrate the centennial anniversary of the company's invention of the hard hat. Last month, the BRIEFS MANUFACTURERS A t l a n t a - b a s e d Kingspan Insu- lation LLC, a leading player in energy efficiency and moisture man- agement products, has appointed Doug Crawford as managing direc- tor in charge of operations for North America. Crawford has held numerous leadership roles in corpo- rate development and line management for Oldcastle Inc. over the last decade, most recently serving as Meadow Burke Products LLC vice president of Sales and Marketing. He joined Oldcastle from the Boston Consult- ing Group, and holds Bachelor of Science in Finance and MBA degrees from Pennsylvania State University and Northwestern Universi- ty's Kellogg School of Management. Ann Elder CRAWFORD SHIFTS FROM OLDCASTLE TO KINGSPAN company broke the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people wear- ing safety helmets during the University of Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt men's basketball game. Bullard supplied 10,000 hard hats to fans attending the game. A Guinness World Record representative was on hand to verify the record-breaking event. Headquartered in Cynthiana, Ky., the fifth-generation, family-owned company invented the Hard Boiled Hat in 1919 and today supplies innovative safety products, including thermal imagers, head and face protection, and respiratory equipment to workers worldwide. Outside of the Cynthiana facility, Bull- ard has offices in Singapore and Germany. The company recently opened the Bullard Center in Lexington, Ky., where research and development, new product development, marketing, and global shared resources col- laborate to develop the next generation of Bullard products and services.
