18 • October 2018 www.concreteproducts.com NEWS SCOPE MANUFACTURERS Expanding its scope of energy-efficient building solutions for com- mercial and residential markets, leading Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS) manufacturer Dryvit Systems Inc., West War- wick, R.I., has acquired Nudura Corp., a key insulating concrete form manufacturer and distributor. Ontario-based Nudura will be a stand- alone unit of Dryvit, which along with EIFS has developed NewBrick, an insulated clay brick-styled veneer product. Both businesses are part of RPM Specialty Products, one of three groups under Medina, Ohio-based RPM International—parent of admixture producer Euclid Chemical (Industrial Products). "The acquisition of Nudura reflects [a] global commitment to providing the built environment with premium, labor saving, ener- gy-efficient building solutions to meet today's need for higher performing building envelopes," says Dryvit Chief Executive Offi- cer R. Michael Murphy. "We are pleased to be able to integrate a high-quality, proven ICF option to our already industry-leading array of high performance, energy efficient and environmentally responsi- ble building envelope systems." "This is a noteworthy joining of two dynamic and innovative companies committed to bringing forward thinking solutions to the building, design and construction sectors," adds Murray Snider, who will continue as Nudura's president and will report to Murphy. Nudura provides four series of ICF wall systems consisting of expanded polystyrene foam boards and integral hinged plastic webs that hold both sides of them together, along with a range of com- plementary building envelope products. Its product line will complement and expand Dryvit's existing offering, allowing for enhanced cross-selling opportunities," affirms RPM Chairman Frank Sullivan. "At the same time, Nudura's manufacturing footprint will be leveraged for efficien- cies in the manufacturing of Dryvit's NewBrick product, as well as products of other companies within our Specialty Products Group."
