38 • JULy 2018 www.concreteproducts.com BRIEFS PRODUCERS PRODUCERS Chaney Enterprises has announced a new sales department structure concurrent with two internal promotions to pro- vide better customer service and align with the Maryland producer's strategic growth. Sal Bianco has been promoted to Northern/Eastern Shore Sales and business development manager and Brandon Coombs to Southern Sales and business development manager. They joined Chaney Enterprises in 2011 and 2003, respectively, and were previously business develop- ment representatives. The promotions coincide with Chaney's restructured sales depart- ment, now divided into three teams: Northern, serving businesses north of U.S. Route 50 and Maryland's Eastern Shore; Southern, serving south of U.S. Route 50 and Virginia; and, D.C., serving Washington, D.C., inside of the Capital Beltway, and Prince George's County, Md. "Sal and Brandon bring years of industry experience to their new positions and will play an important role as we further streamline our sales structure," says Chaney Enterprises Chief Customer Officer Jan Holt. "These promotions are in line with [a] corporate culture of internal opportunity and advancement, and allow our team to quickly make an impact for customers." Delta Industries, Inc. sports a new logo as part of an ongoing update of its brand and services. The Jackson, Miss.-based ready mixed producer has served the market since 1945, dispatching World War II Army surplus trucks for initial concrete deliveries. Decades of growth have positioned Delta Industries with a 230-mixer fleet across 30 operations in its home state plus Alabama, Louisiana and Tennessee. Management recently consolidated ready mixed concrete production assets into Delta Industries, folding in operations pre- viously conducted through other subsidiaries. "Our company has grown and evolved over the years, and we felt it was time for a new look as well," says CEO Dave Robison. "The new logo better reflects our more modern and technologically advanced approach to the business. The triangle also corresponds to 'Delta' and reflects our moves to innovate and change with the evolution of advancements in our industry." The logo uses three bars to create a triangle, along with the famil- iar red color of the producer's historic "Ready-Mix" logo, which will continue to appear on company trucks and certain other applications. The new logo will begin appearing on mixer graphics, plant location signs and other materials near term. What will not change, Robison affirms, is the producer's long-standing commitment to superior ser- vice: "Our customers can count on receiving the same high-quality product and responsiveness that we have always delivered." During an early-June safety awards ceremony, North Carolina Com- missioner of Labor Cherie Berry presented Gate Precast's Oxford facility with the 3 Million Employee Hours Award for time without a lost workday injury. Plant Manager David Owen notes that the award covers a period dating to May 2009 and dovetails Gate Oxford's status as a Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) certified employer.
