M77 paver mixer—shown here in a familiar Las Vegas Convention Center "parking space." MCNEILUS GROOMS TEAM OF HARRIS SUCCESSORS Signature 2018 auction items were a Granite Axle Back-mounted 10.5-yd. M77 paver mixer from perennial donors Mack Trucks Inc. and McNeilus Cos., plus a T880S-mounted 11-yd. BridgeKing mixer from new major donors Kenworth Truck, Kenworth Truck of Central Florida and Con-Tech Manufacturing. CIM Marketing Committee Chairman Brian Gallagher credits the truck manufacturers and body builders, along with many other donors for making the auction a "complete success," while also recognizing the support of World of Concrete show management and Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers for helping stage the event in an optimal venue. The CIM National Steering Committee again partnered with GiveSmart, a user-friendly bidding technology service providing customized auction and event solutions primarily for nonprofit orga- nizations; participants were able to register for the auction, sneak preview silent and live auction items, make donations, and bid on target silent auction items immediately. Ritchie Bros. also facilitated registered, off-site participants' online bidding in live auction items. CIM Auction proceeds support undergraduate and graduate degree programs at Middle Tennessee State University; California State Uni - versity, Chico; New Jersey Institute of Technology; and, Texas State University. As successor to retiring 38-year veteran Tom Harris, Crespo will lead product development, marketing and production. He arrives with 20-plus years in manufacturing management roles, most recently as vice president and general manager of the Illinois Tool Works Global Appliance Division. A four-year member of the McNeilus Commercial team, McReynolds transitions from vice president of Sales & Marketing to Custom Support Solutions, where he will oversee parts, service, technical support, regional facilities and training under the Street Smart banner. He joined the com- pany after 30-plus years in various leadership roles at Caterpillar Inc., including Global Paving business president. The appointments support a new, simplified corporate structure with distinct Concrete Mixers, Customer Support Solutions (formerly After- market Parts and Service) and Refuse Collection Vehicles business units. "This allows the company to leverage decades of experience and renew our focus on delivering specific products and services that are vital to the success of our customers," says McNeilus Senior Vice President Brad Nelson. "We have equipped each unit with the resources necessary to ensure their independence and success through end-to-end accountabil- ity. These resources include human resources, finance, sales, marketing and operations functions." Jesus Crespo Jim McReynolds
