The 47-gal. device, equal to three bags of dry mix, attaches to the company's auger drive. Ease of attachment simplifies the mixer's use in combination with auger drive bits for fence installations and post fixings. The compact size also suits mix placement for sidewalks, driveways and small floor slabs. — Arrow Material Handling Products, Lenexa, Kan., Company best known for its sprayed-on truck bed liners has added Concrete Solu- tions WB Stain, a penetrating water-based formulation available in 30 standard colors. The vibrant, UV-stable products can be applied to interior and exterior concrete surfaces. Unlike acid-based alternatives, product developers contend, water-based stains produce more consistent color, exhibit low volatile organic compound levels and are safer to apply. WB Stains and companion Concrete Solutions products are sold through regional supply stores. "WB Concrete Stain fulfills a need in the market for an easy-to-use, environmentally conscious, concrete coloring product," says Rhino Linings Vice President Mike Roberts. "Just like all Concrete Solutions colo- rants, the new WB Stain stands to deliver vibrant, colorfast results designed to endure everyday elements and foot traffic." — Rhine Linings Corp., San Diego, 858/450-0441; www. The new Kingspan Kooltherm K8 Cavity and K12 Framing Boards represent a wall design option engineered to consume less space than alternative methods, while delivering higher thermal performance plus fire and smoke protection. Both products feature a core of per- formance rigid thermoset fiber-free phenolic insulant manufactured with a blowing agent that has zero Ozone Depletion Potential and low Global Warming Potential—two metrics typifying Environmental Product Declarations. K8 suits partially filled cavity walls, K12 wood or steel frame walls. The latter is resistant to the passage of water vapor, unaffected by air infiltration, and can be used between studs or as an insulating sheathing. The boards made their U.S. debut during last month's American Institute of Architects Conference on Architecture 2017. "Our tech- nology allows us to deliver a rigid thermoset insulation with the highest R-value per inch," said Kingspan Insulation North America Managing Director Alswinn Kieboom. "We want to make life easier for architects and builders by giving them a thinner product that out- performs the competition and allows more freedom for their designs." — Kingspan Insulation LLC, Atlanta, 678/589-7320 Skid steer mixer attachment Water-based stains Masonry wall cavity, framing insulation GalvaBar is continuously galvanized rebar with specialized alloy that provides the well-known corrosion protection of zinc and the added ben- efit of exceptional formability. Cut in individual lengths, it can be bent or stretched after the galvanizing process is complete without cracking, peeling or flaking. Continuous galvanizing yields a rebar compliant with ASTM A1094/ A1094M-16, Standard Specification for Continuous Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel Bars for Concrete Reinforcement, and ASTM A1055/A1055M-16, Standard Specification for Zinc and Epoxy Dual-Coated Steel Reinforcing Bars. The GalvaBar process coats steel with minimal exposure time to the molten zinc before cooling, allowing all normal and high-strength grades of reinforcement to be galvanized with no risk of embrittlement. Research shows that galvanized rebar has concrete bond strength equivalent to or exceeding epoxy coated bar and higher than black or stainless steel bar, GalvaBar engineers note. The product is competitive with epoxy coated alternatives, they add, and significantly more econom- ical than non-ferrous, high strength and stainless bar. — AZZ Inc., Fort Worth, Texas; 817/810-0095; GALVANIZED REBAR
