Intended for contractors, engineers, architects and producers, the free app serves as a channel to basic knowledge on the fundamentals of concrete use. It includes concepts and design factors, plus interactive tools that provide answers related to concrete slump, air, finishability and set time. Concrete Now! offers the Synthetic Fiber Dosage Wizard, a unique tool that helps deter- mine the type and proper dosage of synthetic fibrillated fibers or macrofibers required to replace small diameter bars or welded-wire reinforcement used as temperature and shrinkage (secondary) reinforcement. "Fibers are becoming an industry standard for replacing steel for reinforcement," notes Admixture Systems Product Manager Dan Vojtko.
