54 • May 2017 www.concreteproducts.com FEATURE TRUCKS & COMPONENTS New lithium complex-based line includes Superior Performance True Multi-Purpose, Heavy-Duty High Temperature and Heavy-Duty Extreme Pressure Greases. Products are interchangeable with each other, meaning they won't cause cross-contami- nation issues that compromise performance and effectiveness; excel in extreme conditions; and, protect against rust and corrosion. The all-in-one Superior Performance grade is formulated with calcium sulfonate, providing what company engineers describes as superior lubrication and long-lasting performance under extreme pressure and high temperature conditions. The Heavy-Duty High Temperature grade is engi- neered to withstand mechanical loads and extreme temperatures, and is well suited to heavy-duty trucks plus construction equipment. The Heavy-Duty Extreme Pressure product exhibits load-carrying ability, anti-wear protection and high dropping point properties, and can be used in a variety of automotive and construction applications. — WD-40 Co., San Diego, www.WD40Specialist.com WD-40 | SPECIALIST GREASES First shown as a prototype at 2017 ConExpo-Con/Agg, a new dump model features 25-yd. or 60,000-lb. capacity and base weight 1,000 pounds lighter than the manufacturer's standard model. The XL Bottom Dump design is durable, owing to gate and reinforced side- walls of 3/16-in. and 1/8-in. Hardox steel, respectively. The hopper specs make hauling and delivering a variety of materials an efficient process. At 96- x 193-in., the hopper open- ing of the XL Bottom Dump is the largest available on the market, the company notes. An infinite control allows users to open the gates to any width, giving them more control when unloading material. Adjustable side locks and windrow deflectors assist in dumping various materials. The air-operated gates include an electric cab control and manual air valve, which can be controlled from the ground. The oscillating 5th wheel plate pivots as needed to pull the trailer over large piles. User-friendly features include a bolt-on removable push block, bolt-on access ladders and steel tread plate fenders on the front and rear decks. XL offers tarp options to suit drivers' needs: front to back roll, manual or electric flip, and manual slide. The prototype XL Bottom Dump has entered its next phase of testing, to include work in the field. After sufficient testing, the model will go to market, giving aggregate haulers a lightweight steel bottom dump option. — XL Specialized Trailers, Manchester, Iowa; www.xlspecializedtrailer.com XL SPECIALIZED TRAILERS | LIGHTWEIGHT BOTTOM DUMP
