With 10 forward and two reverse speeds, the transmission is designed for line or regional haul, plus pick-up and delivery tractor applications. A patented torque converter and twin countershaft gearbox optimize acceleration while improving fuel economy through engine down-speeding and uninterrupted power shifting in all ranges. The TC10 is inte- grated with multiple engine packages and will be offered by Kenworth for applications requiring torque up to 1,850 lb.-ft. and up to 110,000-lbs. GCW. The transmission is delivered with comprehensive five-year or 750,000-mile warranty and will run up to 500,000 miles with no maintenance. — he adds, as evidenced by a strong order log. The T880S is offered with a front axle rated at 14,600 lbs. to 22,800 lbs., and Paccar MX-13 engine with up to 510-hp and 1,850 lb.-ft. of torque. For weight-sensitive appli- cations, the 10.8-liter MX-11 engine is 400 pounds lighter compared to larger displace- ment engines, and provides up to 430-hp and 1,650 lb.-ft. of torque. The T880S has a 114- in. bumper-to-back-of-cab dimension and standard 28-in. bumper setting. Also offered are the 29.5-in. bumper setting, typical in dump applications, or 31.5-in. setting with a sturdy box bumper. "These provide the flex- ibility for customers to meet Bridge Formula requirements and stay under the 40-foot length limit," notes Baney. The T880S uses a number of key T880 specs, he adds: "One especially key feature is the five-piece hood design with bolt-on fenders for minimal downtime in the event of a repair. Getting the truck back into ser- vice and delivering loads is the name of the game with these vocational applications, and [T880S] customers see the real value of the bolt-on fenders." Single, tandem or tridem drive axles and a wide variety of factory-installed lift axles are among a range of options to meet demand- ing jobsite requirements. The T880 and T880S also provide clear back-of-cab options that make it easy to configure the truck body, handle extreme loads, and ease body upfit- ting. — custom concrete production equipment tailored to your specifications 1.800.657.5420 concrete batch plants silos aggregate handling cement handling dust control automation systems retrofits turnkey services < < < < < < NATIONAL CONCRETE ® CUSTOM CONCRETE PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT
