18 • May 2017 BOSCH TOOLS Speed Clean bits are built around an internal channel that sucks up dust while drilling; by virtue of creating less dust, they eliminate 90 percent of airborne silica particles. The bits rely on solid carbide tips, embedded in a steel head, along with robust two-cutter and four-cut- ter geometry to enhance speed and service life. Each bears a rubber connector that attaches drill bit shaft to a dust extraction system hose. Speed Clean bits deliver a clean hole in concrete up to 50 percent faster than conventional alternatives, product engineers note, netting more specification-grade holes in less time. Bosch enlisted a certified industrial hygienist in devel- oping Speed Clean bits. Using each type of concrete drill bit, four tests were initiated. Speed Clean rendered undetectable amounts of silica dust in the worker's breathing zone in all four; for conventional concrete drill bits just the opposite was observed. — Bosch Tools, 877-BOSCH-99;, GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS REGULATIONS Looking for a way to gain a competitive edge on your next project? Wouldn't it be nice to finish ahead of schedule for a change? It's time to work smarter with Vacuworx. Now instead of having to use hooks, chains or forks to pull up pieces of concrete, you can remove them quickly and efficiently with the new SS 2 Vacuum Lifting System attached to a skid steer or backhoe. Designed so that contractors can cut, remove and either replace or pour new concrete in a single day, the SS 2 helps teams work faster and safer than ever before. So all you have to worry about is finding other projects for your team to tackle. But our customers really say it best. For example, Komitt Concrete put the SS 2 to the test during a sidewalk restoration project covering more than 1,000 site locations in Rochester, Minnesota. "This is an invaluable piece of equipment that allowed for a significant reduction in the amount of time it took to complete the project…We had to be careful not to remove more than could possibly be repaired in a day. It is perfect for the type of work that we do." — Dwight Gingrich, Komitt Concrete Visit to schedule a demo today! "It's so quick." F A S T E R . S A F E R . S M A R T E R .
