30 • July 2015 www.concreteproducts.com PRODUCERS The board of AltusGroup, Inc.—Bethlehem, Pa.-based proprietor of CarbonCast architectural and structure precast concrete—has appointed Oldcastle Precast Building Systems' Ron Jankowski to a two-year term as chairman. A member of the Oldcastle Precast business development team, he has served as AltusGroup secretary, Mid-Atlantic Precast Association president and Precast/Pre- stressed Concrete Institute Total Precast Committee chair. Harry Gleich (Metromont) was re-elected as treasurer at the 2015 AltusGroup meeting, while John Seroky (High Concrete Group) was elected secretary. Other board members confirmed are Tom Kelley (Gage Brothers), Tony Smith (Metromont), John Leatham and Brian Laufenberg (Chomarat), Aaron Fink (Oldcastle Precast), Loren Later (Knife River Prestress), and Kenneth Kruse (BASF Admixtures). Group Executive Director John Carson will continue as a non-voting board member. Also during the meeting, Jeremy Olivotti (Mid-States Con- crete Industries) was elected Marketing Committee chair and Dave Schneider (High Concrete) was tapped to head up the Technical Advi- sory Committee, with Sam Kakish (Enterprise Precast) and Harry Gleich overseeing enclosure systems and double tees, respectively. Operating in partnership with carbon fiber reinforcement supplier Chomarat N.A. LLC, AltusGroup has grown from five founding mem- bers in 2003 to 19 member companies in North America and two international affiliates in Europe. Producers have erected more than 900 projects nationwide representing 34 million square feet of Car- bonCast surface area. Adam Mainka has been promoted to vice president of Operations and general manager of the new Hel- denfels Enterprises, Inc. plant in El Paso. He will have overall man- agement responsibilities for the west Texas market and production activities. Mainka joined HEI in 2009 as a quality control techni- cian and was subsequently pro- moted during his first two years, to QC supervisor and QC manager. He has also held the positions of San Marcos plant manager and, most recently, director of Operations for the San Marcos and Corpus Christi plants. With a proven record in management, lean manufacturing and quality control, plus extensive concrete design knowledge, Mainka holds PCI level III certification; co-chairs the PCI Productivity Committee; and, chairs the Leadership PCI Program Committee. Ted Lindahl, has joined Cemstone Products Co., Mendota Heights, Minn., as North Metro account representative. A University of Min- nesota, Duluth, accounting graduate, Lindahl has served in highway and heavy construction estimating and management roles, with an emphasis on bridges and structural concrete.
