44 • August 2014 www.concreteproducts.com "Release" is a general-purpose concrete form agent of mineral oil and petroleum product composition. Its dual action formulation is light- ly reactive with improved barrier characteristics. Release especially suits cast-in-place concrete, working well with forms made of ply- wood, high-density plywood, wood, fiberglass, steel or aluminum. It promotes the clean, positive release of forms and helps to reduce surface imperfections in finished slabs and structures. With a pleasant cherry scent, Release helps minimize dusting of formed surfaces and reduces labor costs associated with stripping and cleaning forms and equipment, product developers contend, and clings well to vertical surfaces. The form agent is available in 5-gal. pails or 55-gal. drums and complies with Ozone Transport Commission Standards for Volatile Organic Compounds and Federal EPA Regulation 40 CFR Part 59. — ChemMasters Inc., Madison, Ohio, 800/486-7866; www.chemmasters.net Concrete form release agent Round tube lift axle The Toughlift platform is designed specifically to utilize round axles for non-steerable and steer applications in severe or heavy-duty con- ditions. Toughlift FM and FR non-steer models replace the manufac- turer's heavy-duty HLM model with capacities up to 25,000 lb., as well as the high lifting HLR 13,000- and 18,000-lb. capacity non- steer lift axles that have been used extensively over the years in both pusher and tag positions. The Toughlift LK is the frst steer model to be added to the new platform and was developed around an integrated leading king- pin and knuckle design for the dual tire steerable market. Demand for the dual tire steer feature is centered in Ontario and New York for 25,000-lb. applications and, Hendrickson engineers note, add- ing that the Toughlift represents an ideal solution for heavy-duty vocational feets. — Hendrickson Specialty Products/Auxiliary Axle Systems, 800/660-2829; www.hendrickson-intl.com INNOVATIONS EQUIPMENT & PRODUCTS Telematics powers Cat's EMSolutions Caterpillar has built a portfolio of tiered service offerings to help manage equipment assets and lower operating costs, whether the customer performs maintenance tasks or Cat dealer handles the details. Equipment Management Solutions (EMSolutions) is support- ed by Product Link technology that collects data directly from the fleet and presents summaries to managers via VisionLink. The system promotes decision making based on equipment location, fuel burn and utilization. Five EMSolutions levels are progressive, ranging from basic connectivity to machine electronic control modules through dealer-delivered condition monitoring services such as fluid sam- pling, and on to complete, proactive management of the fleet.
