STILL The Original STILL The Leader STILL THE BEST! Microwave Moisture Measurement for the Concrete Industry Company has broadened the concept behind armor-type block units cast with 1-yd. of fresh concrete or returned mixes. Betonblock USA molds are made of high-strength, low-alloy steel and finished with a powder coating for long-term durability. They allow ready mixed and precast concrete producers to cast large, stackable block for stockpile divider and property walls, plus structural retaining walls. Studs on the top and recesses in the base of the blocks, coupled with the weight of the concrete, stabilize stacked units. The design provides fexibility to extend or customize any temporary or perma- nent construction without the need of mortar or bonding material. An extensive product range includes molds in many types and sizes. A partition is available for each standard size block to use one mold for the production of a single block or two half blocks. Beton- block has supplied forms and molds to 3,000-plus concrete producers and contractors worldwide. Augmenting equipment utilization and labor effciency in plant or job site settings, the manufacturer has developed a series of stationary or mobile block-handling components: CL80 Clamp and BT2500 Block Turner, plus CLA Lifting Beam, LTM Lift-and-Turn Mechanism, and R1900 Hydraulic Rotator Lift. With a 6,600-lb. tip- ping load, the BT2500 tilts blocks without face and edge damage. When removed from molds, blocks are typically dumped on their sides; the stand-alone BT2500, however, hydraulically tilts 90 deg. so block is placed with studs on top. — Betonblock Global BV, Royal Marine Packing, Charleston S.C.; North American contact, Petra Bos, 843/901-6505; www.betonblockusa.com INNOVATIONS EQUIPMENT & PRODUCTS Formwork extends traditional block profile Eight block molds are of- fered in basic (whole) and partition (two halves) ver- sions. Options include blocks with 45-deg. angle and stairs. Betonblock also offers slab forms. Handling components include the CL80 Clamp and BT2500 Block Turner, with 5,500- and 6,600-lb. capacities, respectively.
